Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to some Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award Best Actress Award for playing the role of actress Savitri. Three SIIMA Awards were also given to her. She also received a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the child of producer of film G. Suresh Kumar, and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her initial career path was an actress for children. After completing her studies in the field of Fashion Design, she re-entered acting. Her first leading role was in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy took on her very first Malayalam projects as well as began to work in Tamil simultaneously. Her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. The film was not a success at the box-office. To accommodate bigger projects, she had to cancel films that she'd already begun working on. They included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. In two of her films, she acted that came out in quick succession, together with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also the leading actor for Prabhu's Thodari. It was delayed from 2015 with reports that the film will release after September, 2020 with the name of Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), with Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy was first seen on screen in Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) opposite actor Vijay. In 2017, she also made appearances in Tamil films, including Paambhu sattai. She also appeared in Telugu movies Nenu Local.
