Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church where she sang and played piano. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The first track to showcase her vocals was Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. It has been remixed and a part of her set. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony Award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine came to national attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
