Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. There was no electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to spend the time and she became an avid reader. Ryder was 12 when she was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. When she was 15, Ryder landed her first part on the screen in Lucas. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actress could bring about change. But it wasn't to come to happen. Still she continued pursuing her dream. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder went on to have success in roles. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
